
The Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University and the Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science Will Honor Mr. DeCarlo at Annual “Insurance Leader of the Year Dinner” on Feb. 26, 2025.
NEW YORK (September 9, 2024) – St. John’s University’s Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science, part of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business, will honor M. Steven DeCarlo, Executive Chair, Amwins, as the “2024 Insurance Leader of the Year” at its 29th Annual Insurance Leader of the Year Award Dinner. Mr. DeCarlo will be introduced by both Amwins’ Executive Vice Chair, W. H. “Skip” Cooper, CPCU, and Chief Executive Officer, Scott M. Purviance, who will join the ceremony as Honorary Dinner Chairpersons. The event takes place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the New York Marriott Marquis in New York City. Proceeds from the dinner support the University’s Greenberg School students and programs.
“Steve has a more than four decades-long track record in building one of the industry’s premier Excess and Surplus participants. About the Greenberg School
The Maurice R. Greenberg School of Risk Management, Insurance and Actuarial Science was founded in 1901 as the Insurance Society of New York and over the years evolved into The College of Insurance (TCI). In June of 2001, TCI merged with St. John’s University, becoming part of The Peter J. Tobin College of Business.
